Ori Shapira

I’m an applied scientist at Amazon in the Alexa science group in Israel. Previously, I completed my PhD in the Natural Language Processing Lab at Bar Ilan University under the supervision of Prof. Ido Dagan and Dr. Yael Amsterdamer, researching multi-document “interactive summarization”.

In the past, I worked as a data science consultant in several fields and companies, and interned at Amazon, working on review summarization. I also have seven years of industry experience as a software engineer in the fields of information security, communications and geographical information systems.

My wife, Natalie, is a very talented computer scientist and mother.
